Awana

Equipping Churches and Parents to Raise Christ-Following Kids for Life.

Awana helps churches and parents worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ! We do this through:
·         Fully integrated programs for ages 2 to 6th grade.
·         The best evangelism tools to reach unsaved children, youth and families.
·         Teaching that builds an enduring biblical faith.
·         Resources bringing churches and parents together to disciple the next generation.
·         Healthy mentor and peer relationships.
·         Dynamic fun for children, teens and adults alike!
Each week, more than a million children and youth, 250,000 volunteers and 300-plus field staff take part in Awana in over 17,000 churches in the U.S. and internationally. (Learn about the prayer, vision, mission and values of Awana.)
Today, 12,000 U.S. churches run Awana with programs in all 50 states. Awana can also be found in over 5,100 churches in 109 other countries and six continents
AWANA is fun! That's what keeps them coming back. And while they're having fun, they're learning and growing. Awana club meetings are jam-packed with life-changing experiences. The clubs are run by trained leaders with a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to help young people. The club materials are filled with verses from the Bible and guidelines to help kids memorize and understand them.
Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them, and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world. The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of christ and train them to server Him.
Our clubs meets on most Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm  throughout the school year.

Awana Puggles is an enriching program for your pre-Cubbies kids (usually older 2- and younger 3-year-olds) that presents basic biblical concepts:

  • ·           We are a unique creation of God.
  • ·           God loves us very much.
Awana Puggles teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more. Awana Puggles leaders have a leader’s guidebook to help them plan and direct club time and communicate the lesson.

The Awana club for preschoolers (3 and 4 year olds) built on two premises:
  • Young children can and should receive spiritual  training.
  • Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
Fun – and lots of it!
Awana is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as Savior while in Sparks.

The Sparks program is firmly grounded in Scripture. The three handbooks feature:
  • Basic truths about God, Jesus Christ, salvation and the Bible
  • A clear and consistent presentation of the gospel message
  • An increased emphasis on Scripture memory over our preschool materials. In three years, a child will learn and review over 65 verses, many of which cover salvation and key Christian doctrine.

Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand in our 3rd - 6th grade program. By the time a child has completed T&T, he will have:
  • Learned and reviewed approximately 310 verses.
  • Studied dozens of passages from the Old and New Testament.
  • Regularly heard and read the gospel message.
  • Discovered the Bible’s response to questions like “How does God want me to live my life?” and memorized verses to back up these answers.
  • Completed missions projects that help him see the world through God’s eyes.
