CORE Values

CORE Values is an intensive life development course designed to equip every member to become more like Christ in daily life. Every Sunday evening at 6:30 we gather together around the Word of God and study it with the aim of building a solid foundation for a lifetime of growth and godliness. The principles covered in this course are the supports for the abundant life that Christ has called each of us to.

 

 

 

 

CORE Values covers four major subjects:

Biblical Convictions – In this beginning phase of the study we closely examine the great truths of the Bible – truths to live by. In this stage of our study the believer will develop a mind that is being continually transformed by the Word of God – because our beliefs determine our behavior.

Practical Obedience – This is the second phase of the course, and it is a study on how to consistently live in obedience to the will of God. It covers major spiritual disciplines that provide the strength to live for Christ in a world that is hostile towards Him. In this section the believer will develop a heart that exists for Christ alone.

Spiritual Relationships – In this third stage of our study we take an in depth look at key relationships that every believer must establish and build in order to continue growing in Christ. Here the believer will develop strength through relationships.

Natural Expression – This is the final stage in our life development course. This section concentrates on equipping the believer to discover who God has made them to be, and how to be that person for the glory of Christ. The aim is to help the student develop a spirit of servant hood.

We hope that you will come and see what CORE Values is all about. We believe that this is very critical training for every person in our church, because we are out to build people who love Christ and serve Him in the context of daily life.

 

 

Beginning Sunday, February 7th, at 6:30pm, we will begin a brand new study through the book of Acts. Acts shows us what it looks like when a church is on fire with the presence and power of God. Here at Calvary we long to return to church as it was intended to be - we long to be a church on fire. Join us as we examine this incredible book and discover insights on how to become the church God has created us to be!
