What You Must Know
God had an incredible plan when He created the Earth in which we live. He also had an amazing plan when He created you. The most awesome experience of life is to discover the plan that God has for us, and become actively involved in that plan.
The Bible is clear that God loves you so deeply, and that He desires that you enjoy an abundant life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
Why, then, are so many people not experiencing the love of God and enjoying an abundant life?
The answer is simple, but sobering. Man misses out on what God desires because man is a sinner by nature, and that sin has separated each of us from God.
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. (Isa 59:2)

God created man with the ability to choose for himself the life he would live. Man chose to disobey God and go his own way. Everyone of us have chosen to disobey God in many different ways.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Rom 3:23)
Sin is falling short of God’s standard of perfection. Each of us would readily admit that we are not perfect, and rightfully so. Imperfection is our very nature. Unfortunately God’s standard is perfection, and we have missed that mark. This sin results in spiritual death.
For the wages of sin is death;…(Rom 6:23) (Death is eternal separation from God in Hell)
Our first instinct, when we discover that our sin has separated us from God, is to try and bridge the gap between us and God. People do this in many different ways, such as going to church…living better…helping others…the problem is that none of these things work.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, … (Tit 3:5)
There is only one payment (wage) for sin, and that is death. Only death can erase the damage caused by our sin. Because of this, Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, died as the remedy for man’s sin problem.
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God,… (1Pe 3:18)
When Christ died in our place on the Cross, He completely paid for all sin and bridged the gap that separated us from God forever.

Jesus’ death forever proved the unconditional love of God.
But God commendeth (proved) his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 5:8)
But even though His death was horrific, Jesus Christ did not stay dead. He rose from the very grave they laid Him in, and because of this we can now have a personal, eternal relationship with God once again.

The gulf that had been created by our sin has forever been bridged by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
But in order for you to experience this new relationship with God, in order for you to experience God’s love and enjoy the life He has promised, you must personally trust Christ as your Lord and Savior. You must rely solely on Him, and nothing else, to solve the problem created by sin in your life.
Trusting Christ as Lord and Savior is very simple:
1) Acknowledge that you are a sinner, and that your sin has separated you from God.
2) Be willing to turn from your sin towards God (repentance)
3) Believe that Christ died and rose again specifically for you.
4) Call on Him in faith, asking Him to save you and rule in your heart.

As you examine the above illustration, where are you on this chart? Have you crossed the line of faith and become a follower of Christ? Have you turned from your sin to faith in Christ?
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24)
Jesus assures us that once we place our faith in Him He gives us eternal life. If you haven’t already, would you pray to God right now and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and save you? It is the most important, life-changing decision you will ever make. Make it today!
